Sheri L. Tarr, JD

Founder and Principal Advisor, ’68 Partners

Sheri Tarr is uniquely positioned at the intersection of life sciences, commercialization, and compliance. A veteran of the life sciences industry, she first held executive positions in sales and marketing with Fortune 500 pharmaceutical companies, followed by many years as a trial lawyer specializing in pharmaceutical and medical products liability, and matters involving deceptive marketing, defective manufacturing, and other regulatory violations. More inspired by innovation than litigation, Sheri founded ’68 Partners, an advisory firm that helps life sciences companies, including hemp and cannabis, build sustainable brands and businesses that commercialize life-enhancing technologies.

Sheri has amassed nearly 30 years of real-world experience with all aspects of branding, marketing, and commercialization of products in a highly regulated environment. She has a deep understanding of the complex business and legal challenges faced by life sciences decision-makers, and has also witnessed first-hand the adverse consequences to companies and patients that result from a misalignment of these priorities. Using her deep industry know-how, Sheri works with clients to create practical commercialization and compliance strategies that balance business objectives with foreseeable risk.

A University of Michigan alum and Chicago-Kent College of Law graduate, Sheri serves on the Boards of emerging life sciences companies, advises Haitian entrepreneurs about business strategy, and speaks frequently about maintaining a Culture of Compliance™ throughout the product life-cycle, and the 3Cs of Commercial Compliance™ in a regulated environment.
