Meet the Speakers for the Future of Cannabis Marketing Event

This January, the Cannabis Marketing Association is putting on the inaugural Future of Cannabis Marketing event — a Ted-talk style online conference. This event will bring in industry professionals to discuss the future of cannabis we want, and what cannabis marcom leaders need to do now to shape that future. Meet the speakers that will be giving ted-style talks at this unmissable event:

Derek Espinoza

Derek Espinoza

Espinoza is the Creative Director for Baked Bros, where he leads the brand’s creative projects, marketing strategy, and education efforts. He specializes in cannabis education as well as the synergy between brands and the psychology of their target audience.

Derek is also a co-founder of the Arizona State University organization The Ecstasis Club, which is devoted to the academic exploration of altered states of consciousness. He writes and presents on topics within the science of cannabis, marketing, human wellbeing, and workplace culture.

He will be speaking about the power marketing has to shape cultural narratives at the FUture of Cannabis Marketing Event.

Lilli Keinaenen

Lilli Keinaenen

Keinaenen has been designing beautiful things for close to 20 years. In 2016, she left the nonprofit world of environmental and social justice nonprofit design and went all-in with the burgeoning legal cannabis industry.

She’s deeply passionate about sustainable and compliant cannabis packaging. Lilli is the founder of Changemaker Creative, a Northern California creative agency, and recently joined the cannabis beauty brand Green Bee Botanicals as Chief Creative Officer.

She will be talking about going carbon neutral with cannabis packaging.

Michael Brooks

Michael Brooks future of cannabis marketing event

Brooks will be discussing the future of cannabis retail at the event.

In 2020, Brooks launched Blue Dream Social, a cannabis niche marketing agency. He has an extensive background in cannabis sales and operations, but only recently transitioned to cannabis marketing. His past experience in the industry includes founding 7 Umbrellas, starting The Good Kush Company, and the political action committee Make Cannabis Legal again.

Trang Trinh

Trang Trinh

Trang is the CEO of TREC Brands.TREC’s mission is to be the earth’s most socially-impactful cannabis company.  She formerly worked as a Senior Manager, M&A Advisory for Deloitte Canada.

Jason White

Jason White

White is the Chief Marketing Officer at Curaleaf.

Jason was the former EVP, Global Head of Marketing at Beats by Dre and former Managing Director of Wieden + Kennedy Shanghai.
