Job Description: Sales Representative
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Sales Representative to join our growing cannabis events business. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in sales and a passion for the cannabis industry.
As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, as well as maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients. You will work closely with our events team to understand the needs and preferences of our clients, and use your excellent communication and negotiation skills to close deals and secure event sponsorships and partnerships.
Our dream candidate is a wizard in communication and closing and can quickly and effectively pitch and close leads for B2B tradeshow-type events in 2023. You’d be working with a small, remote team accomplishing big goals. 6-month position until the event dates, with the potential to continue on. This is an annual event, so we have a significant list of prior sponsors and qualified leads to leverage in which the commission is the same. You’d be selling booths and sponsorships for this event.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and targeting potential new sponsors through research, networking, and outreach. Building qualified lead lists.
- Building and maintaining relationships with sponsors and partners through regular communication and follow-up
- Negotiating and closing deals for event sponsorships and partnerships
- Meeting and exceeding sales targets on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Participating in the planning and execution of events as needed
- Keeping abreast of industry trends and developments, and adapting your sales approach accordingly
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A proven track record of success in sales, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
- A strong understanding of the cannabis industry and its stakeholders
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and partners
- The ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
- A proactive and self-motivated approach to work
Major bonus points if:
- B2B sales experience
- Event sales experience
- Cannabis industry experience
- Hubspot CRM fluency

Payment:
Base + commission once checks close. Total comp up to $40K in 4 mos.
