The Future of Cannabis Marketing Event Speaker Spotlight: Lilli Keinaenen

On January 18, 2022, the Cannabis Marketing Association is hosting the Future of Cannabis Marketing event. This forward-thinking, half-day virtual Ted-style event will discuss the cannabis future we want cannabis marcom leaders need to do to shape this future.

Lilli Keinaenen will be the third speaker of the day. Learn about her background and what she will be talking about:

What topic will you be speaking about at the future of cannabis marketing event?

The newest generation coming of age, Gen Z, already collectively hold more buying power than millennials. So what matters to them, and how should marketers take into consideration this diverse and opinionated group?
This session is about understanding your possible new target audience, who might no longer be you (or your mom), but this new consumer who is savvy, sees through the bullshit, and cares deeply and innately about topics us oldies still struggle grasping. So let me be your Gen Z 101 whisperer.

Why is what you are discussing at the event interesting and important?

Working through a combination of research on consumer sentiments, as well as discussing these themes through case studies of successful campaigns across the consumer goods market, and relating it all to the cannabis industry.

What is your background in the cannabis marketing industry?

Changemaker Creative helps cannabis and hemp companies stand out with unique custom branding and packaging design – and attract a cult following of customers. With a focus on sustainable packaging for product brands with a soul, she’s deeply passionate about saving the planet through better design.

What do you bring to the cannabis marketing industry that sets you apart?

Branding is marketing, and storytelling is branding, and understanding how to bring it all together for the most effective product is what I do best. Not just a designer, but someone to help you craft a unique product, start to finish. One that will resonate with consumers.

Why do you think the future of cannabis marketing is important and why should people be educated about it?

We’re in the boom years now, but the consumer base is getting savvier and savvier. Times for where your product will sell just because you made it are soon over. Differentiation, marketing, and loyalty is what will win the day in the end, I think.
