What topic will you be speaking about at the future of cannabis marketing event?
Why is what you are discussing at the event interesting and important?
The cannabis industry, still in its infancy, has the opportunity to change the way corporations approach their business and marketing strategies – by leading with values first and considering the social impact we are leaving behind.
What is your background in the cannabis marketing industry?
I am a Founding Director & the CEO of TREC Brands, a recreational cannabis brand house that developed and manages WINK, Blissed, and Thumbs Up brands. I obtained my Chartered Professional Accountant designation at PricewaterhouseCoopers, expanded out into the industry to develop my skillset in finance strategy and business operations at Loblaw Companies and Joe Fresh, and worked on over 10 mergers and acquisitions during my time at Deloitte Canada prior to starting TREC Brands. I was a leader in the cannabis sector with an M&A lens at Deloitte and guided my clients through cannabis legalization in 2018.

Why do you think the future of cannabis marketing is important and why should people be educated about it?
In order to build a sustainable industry and leave the world a better place for our children, we need to consider our people and planet over profits.
